When the upper front teeth extend out and over the lower front teeth. Sometimes this can cause the lower teeth to bite into the roof of the mouth.

Upper Front Teeth Protrusion

When the upper teeth extend too far forward, or the lower teeth do not extend far enough forward. Both the function and appearance of your teeth are affected by this type of bite.


When the upper front teeth and the lower front teeth don’t overlap. This type of bite interferes with proper chewing and may cause undesired habits such as tongue thrusting.


When the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth. Crossbite can cause misaligned jaw growth as well as teeth stratification.


When teeth don’t have enough room to emerge from the gum. We can sometimes avoid having to remove any teeth by using jaw expansion.
